Do you charge for the time to drive and the miles driven?
No charge for the miles driven. Carola Stepper drives an electric vehicle and charges it at home where she has solar panels.
No charge for the time to drive within the City of Hood River.
Carola Stepper charges for half of her time to drive to locations outside of the City of Hood River, so only for her time to get there, but not to get back.
Do you transport clients?
Sorry, no, this is due to liability reasons.
How long are your visits?
All in-home visits are a minimum of 60 minutes. Maximum length of in-home, in person services or respite care (caring for the individual, so other care team members can leave the home) is 4 hours during business hours.
All initial virtual visits (phone or video) are a minimum of 30 minutes, all subsequent virtual visits are a minimum of 15 minutes.
Are your services confidential?
As a Registered Nurse and Licensed Acupuncturist Carola Stepper is subject to HIPAA (= Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance, which includes all of the services offered.
Her clients need to sign a Notice of Privacy Practices form and may choose to sign a Authorization to Use and Disclose Protected Health Information form.
All of her communication routes are HIPAA compliant, except:
Texting, FaceBook Messenger, booking a discovery call using Calendly
Do you only serve individuals who have a life limiting health condition?
No, as Carola Stepper also serves the individuals family and friend care team.
Two of her services are intended for any individual 18 years or older: Advance Directive Facilitation and Grief Recovery Method classes.
